Weapons from the failed federal operation "Fast and Furious" have reportedly been linked to 11 more violent crimes in the U.S., including in places like Arizona and Texas where a total of 42 weapons were seized.

As early as January 2010, guns tied to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosions were found at crime scenes in cities like Phoenix, Glendale and El Paso, the Los Angeles Times first reported.


On May 3rd, under oath before the House Judiciary Committee, Attorney General Eric Holder testified he had only known about Operation Gunrunner for “about 3 weeks” prior to his testimony.

This, despite various media reports on the operation, as well as internal questions being asked by high ranking members of Congress months prior to Holder’s May 3rd testimony.

Now adding to the growing evidence that Eric Holder lied to Congress is the most recent release of DEA administrator Michele Leonhart’s letter to Darrell Issa that greatly expands the federal government’s role in the tragic operation – a letter that further indicates that Holder’s Department of Justice had to have been involved as well, a fact further supported by ATF Director Ken Melson’s secret Fourth of July interview with members of Congress in which he indicated Attorney General Holder’s DOJ was obstructing the Congressional investigation into Operation Gunrunner.

The information provided by Melson was so powerful it initiated an equally powerful letter from Congressman Issa to Eric Holder stating the following:


“If his account is accurate, then ATF leadership appears to have been effectively muzzled while the DOJ sent over false denials and buried its head in the sand. That approach distorted the truth and obstructed our investigation.”

It now appears high ranking federal agency heads are pointing collective blame for the failed operation directly at Barack Obama’s Department of Justice. A looming question yet unanswered is why would Attorney General Eric Holder make such an obvious and easily provable lie under oath to Congress? Why risk both his career, reputation, and personal freedom in doing so?

Under the program, 1,418 firearms were circulated though the number of disappeared guns is still unknown.

In a letter obtained by Fox News, Justice Department officials said last month they are cooperating with congressional investigations and the Justice Department inspector general's office.

It also acknowledged that ATF Acting Director Kenneth E. Melson "likely became aware" of the operation as early as December 2009.

But Republicans leading the congressional probe into Fast and Furious replied to Attorney General Eric Holder in a letter Tuesday, saying that many of his answers to their inquiries were "non-responsive."

"We are disappointed that the Department has chosen to play word games rather than simply responding with as much detail as possible about these additional 11 cases," wrote Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Sen. Charles Grassley, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee.

Meanwhile, three supervisors in charge of the program are being transferred to Washington for new management positions at the agency's headquarters. The decision to promote William Newell and David Voth, both field supervisors who managed the program out of the agency's Phoenix office, and William McMahon, who was the ATF's deputy director of operations in the West, earned criticism from U.S. Sen. John Cornyn.

"Until Attorney General (Eric) Holder and Justice Department officials come clean on all alleged gun-walking operations, including a detailed response to allegations of a Texas-based scheme, it is inconceivable to reward those who spearheaded this disastrous operation with cushy desks in Washington," Cornyn, R-Texas, wrote to Holder.








To paraphrase President Dwight Eisenhower, the country is governed by a powerful and coordinated political-media complex, which is determined to maintain the status quo regardless of the wishes of the American people.

Their lust for power is so great and their greed so boundless that Washington, D.C. is willing to accept and protect an illegal and criminal President.

To retain their privileged positions, they are prepared to violate their oaths of office, illegally circumvent the Constitution, erode the rule of law and ignore their constituents.
